Geely Galaxy A7 enters the market: global pre-sales of the new hybrid sedan have started

Chinese automaker Geely has launched pre-sales of its new flagship sedan Galaxy A7. The main feature of the model is the latest Thunder AI 2.0 hybrid system, which promises a range of over 2100 km.

The official start of accepting pre-orders for the new Geely Galaxy A7 sedan started on July 11, 2025. The model, positioned in the middle segment, will be the first car of the brand to receive the second-generation Thunder AI 2.0 hybrid power plant.

Design and dimensions

Galaxy A7 stands out with its bright and technological design. The front features split headlights, four-section LED daytime running lights and a pass-through light bar with an illuminated logo. Side air intakes and chrome accents give the car a sporty and classy look.

The model is built on a fastback body type. Overall dimensions are:

• Height: 1495 mm
• Wheelbase: 2845 mm

Technological interior and equipment

The interior of the Geely Galaxy A7 is dominated by a digital control panel. The layout includes:

• 15.4" central touchscreen
• 8.8-inch fully digital instrument panel
• Ergonomic block of physical buttons to control basic functions

The Galaxy NOS multimedia system, developed on the basis of FLyme Auto (Meizu), provides high response speed thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The system supports HiCar and CarLink wireless interfaces, has voice recognition in four zones, driver fatigue monitoring and an in-cabin camera.

The car received an advanced set of driver assistance systems (ADAS), including:

• NOA (Navigation on Pilot): Navigation driving assistant
• APA (Automatic Parking Assist): automatic parking function

Hybrid powertrain

The heart of the new product is the second generation Thunder EM-i hybrid system based on the 1.5T engine:

• Engine power: 82 kW (112 hp), torque 136 Nm
• Electric motor power: 175 kW (238 hp), torque 262 Nm
