Hyundai recalls nearly 570,000 Palisade crossovers due to airbag problems

All Hyundai Palisades released from 2020 to 2025 inclusive

Hyundai Palisade car owners in the United States should be more careful: a large-scale recall of almost 570 thousand crossovers has been announced. The campaign covers all cars produced from 2020 to 2025. The signal for verification came from the American regulator - the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The reason is a potential malfunction of the side airbags located on the third row of seats. The risk of their incorrect operation was identified a year ago during routine NHTSA tests, and then confirmed by Hyundai’s internal examination. The manufacturer emphasizes that although the component supplier (Autoliv) has a defect, no one has been injured as a result of it in real road accidents.

However, the main news is that there is simply no way to repair it at the moment. Hyundai has announced that official notifications to owners and dealers will begin to be sent only at the end of next March, 2026.
