A decline in prices for auto parts has been recorded in Russia

According to experts, wholesale prices for many items fell by an average of 11% over the year.

Based on the results of the first seven months of 2025, the rise in prices for automobile spare parts in Russia slowed down, and for many popular items there was a noticeable decrease in cost. As Autonews.ru reports, price dynamics for auto components have approached the general inflation rate.

According to Fit Service director Tatyana Ovchinnikova, most car owners will not even notice the price change.

“The slight increase in prices for the most popular spare parts can be explained by the strengthening of the ruble against other currencies. It is clear that spare parts are mostly imported, so these goods have a direct dependence on the exchange rate. And despite the fact that logistics continues to become more complicated and more expensive, the ruble exchange rate now compensates for the increase in costs,” Ovchinnikova said.

According to a large-scale analysis conducted by the Union of Automotive Services, the average drop in wholesale prices for auto parts in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the 33rd week of the year was 11% year-on-year. The study took into account hundreds of thousands of items, including brake pads, filters, suspension and steering parts.

Examples of price changes for popular models:

Hyundai Solaris: brake pads (front) fell in price by 11%.
BMW 528i: the air filter has fallen in price by 21%, and the brake pads have fallen by 7%.
Chery Tiggo 7 Pro: despite the increase in prices for some filters, the oil filter has risen in price slightly - by 2%.

Experts attribute this positive trend to two key factors: the strengthening of the ruble, as most spare parts are imported, and the emergence of a wide range of new brands on the market, which has increased competition.

The only exception was the group of windshields, prices for which, before the upcoming mandatory labeling, on the contrary, increased by an average of 43%.

Short-term dynamics (month to month) also demonstrate stabilization; price growth is close to zero for most product groups. This means that the cost of car maintenance becomes more predictable for car owners.
